In this New Era of Technical Revolution, the global industrialization is growing very fast. A number of International organizations dealing in various industries are expanding their business in India, especially in Gujarat. As Many National and International companies have established their units in Gujarat, a huge demand of skilled workforce has been created for these industries. To fulfil this demand, The Directorate of Employment & Training, Government of Gujarat has been in the forefront of implementing various skill-building programmes through Industrial Training Institutes (I.T.I.). At present there are 145 ITIs functioning under this Directorate. ITI, Surat is playing a vital role in South Gujarat Region for providing crucial manpower required for the industries.
